TO halting the companions Remedios Garcia ALBERT
The Executive Committee of PCPE, once known the details of the arrest of the companion Remedios Garcia, wants to make public the following considerations: 1 .- The arrest of Remedios confirms the spiral of repression unleashed in Spain against the leftist militant, political, union, solidarity, anti-fascist and anti-imperialist non folds to the impositions of imperialism. The Spanish state repression increases to implement the single thought, trying to prevent the popular response to the crisis and encourage capitalist strategy of capital accumulation and concentration of monopolies Spaniards.
2 .- The Spanish government has been working actively with the imperialist strategy in americas America, and especially in Colombia. The active collaboration of the Government of PSO with the Government of fascist Alvaro Uribe is part of that campaign support for the penetration of Spanish capital. In Spain today operate with impunity and paramilitary agents of the intelligence services Colombians, who have found in the Spanish government a strong ally in its campaign of terror against the popular movement. This campaign of terror is spreading to the revolutionary militancy and anti-imperialist in our country, hand in hand with a strong media offensive which seeks to involve some Spanish organizations, including the PCPE in the armed conflict provoked by imperialism and reaction Colombia.
3 .- The PCPE demands the withdrawal of all charges against the companion Remedios Garcia, calls the whole of the left in our country to show their solidarity to reject this kind of repressive actions and demands that the Spanish Government accountable for its collaboration with Uribe government criminal, responsible for the murder of dozens of leftist activists in Colombia. We demand also to be investigated without delay the relationship between Spaniards monopolies operating in Colombia and the paramilitary criminal who takes decades to Colombian trade unionists murdered with impunity.
4 .- The PCPE knows the terrible crimes committed against the Colombian people for decades. It was precisely those crimes which led to the birth of the insurgent organizations, including the FARC-EP, as legitimate popular resistance to state terrorism and against the crimes committed against defenseless civilians. In the eighties and first ninety more than 4,000 activists of the Patriotic Union, mostly Party and the Communist Youth, were murdered with impunity. Those crimes continue today before the passivity of the international community. We defend the right of the Colombian people to resort to all means of struggle in its power to fight imperialism and the aggressor state terrorism. We ask for recognition to the FARC – EP matter, following other experiences based on international law, and we demand their immediate withdrawal from the list of terrorist organizations of the European Union.
