Release The Politburo of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued the following statement:
The Politburo of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) congratulated the CPI (M) and the Left Front in Tripura for his superb victory at the three levels of elections to panchayat (state government). The Left Front won 415 of the 511 seats, have won the 23 Panchayat Samitis (connection between the Administration and Members) and the four Zilla Parishads (district governors).
The Politburo salutes the people of Tripura, which has placed its full confidence in the CPI (M) and Left Front. With this mandate, the government of the CPI (M) and the Left Front of Tripura will continue its efforts to serve the people and work for their welfare. July 24, 2009.
